"It's ridiculous to think I never came across this guy
before. Not only is he a towering physical presence, but that
voice of his can kick you in the chest and still melt a roomful
of hearts at the same time... All I can say is make way for
DeeKaye."
-- Haydain Neale, jacksoul
“The new Canadian crooners such as Michael Buble and Matt
Dusk may have the big label deals and the headlines right now.
But as soon as enough people hear what (Deekaye) can do with Ray
Charles' Hallelujah! I Love Her So -- or the Beatles' Oh Darling
-- it won't be long before Deekaye is moving up. ...the best
opening set heard in London in a long time.”
-- James Reaney, London Free Press
“DeeKaye’s richly emotive voice was the highlight of the
evening”
-- Edmonton Sun
”It’s no wonder he’s been compared to Joe Williams …his voice
is big, his range is big and he is big…but it’s not his stature
that you’ll remember…but the way he can project a song”…
-- Chapman’s Choice - Toronto Star, August 5, 2004
“Whether he sings ballads, swing or blues, DeeKaye is a jazz
singer with real talent.”
-- Jazz FM 91 Program
Director Brad Barker
“DeeKaye's richly
emotive voice was the highlight of the evening.”
